In April 2022 the Building Safety Bill received Royal Assent from UK parliament. The Bill, which was drawn up in the wake of the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire, has been put in place with the aim of enhancing regulation around building safety and construction.

Now, five years after the horrors of Grenfell, the Bill is likely to have a big impact on all areas of the industry by widening liability for building owners, developers and product manufacturers.
